* I Heart You *

This tutorial was written by me
May 10 2008. It was writtten in PSP XI,
but will work in other versions
No outside plugins needed for this tutorial
This tutorial assumes that you have a good working
knowledege of PSP.

Supplies needed for this tut
tube of choice
I am using the awesome artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase a
license to use his work here HERE
Mask of choice or the one supplied
Fonts of choice
I am using Inspiration for my main font & cannot supply it as it is a pay font
I am supplying ap_justhearts
I also used Century Gothic which is a standard font on your computer
Wordart supplied by me, or one of your own

OK let's get started. This is a quickie!
Open all of your supplies in psp
Open a new canvas 600x600
Floodfill white
Add a new raster layer, floodfill with #f84f80 , or a color from your tube
Apply the mask to this layer
Layers, merge, merge group.

Grab your preset shape tool,rectangle, foreground #f84f80 , or color of choice, background black,
with these settings

Draw out a square approximately 150x150
Do NOT convert to raster!
Duplicate this layer 2 times for a total of 3 layers
Objects, distribute, space even vertically
Now convert each square layer to raster and merge together
Move to the left side of your tag

Now type out a capital I with your century gothic font and place it in the middle of your top square

Type out a capital U and place it in your bottom square

Now get the ap_justhearts fonts and type out a capital L,
and place it in the middle of the middle square

Open the I HEART YOU wordart copy, paste as a new layer
Move this to the top right of your tag
Copy and paste your tube, place it to the right of your tag
Add a drop shadow,V-2 H-2 ,Opacity 60, Blur 11, color Black
Add your name and any copyright information
I added a light gradient glow to my name

* ANIMATION *

Hide your heart and U text layers
Activate the I text layer
Drop the opacity on this layer to 20
Copy merged, paste as a new animation in AS
Raise the opacity on the same layer to 40,
copy merged, paste after current frame in AS
Raise the opacity to 60, copy merged, paste after current
frame in AS
Now raise the opacity of the I layer to 80, then
go to the heart text layer and unhide it, drop the opacity to 20,
copy merged, paste in AS after currnt frame.
You should now have 4 frames in Animation Shop.

Now set the I text layer to 100% opacity, heart text layer
at 40% opacity copy merged, paste after current frame in AS
Keep the I layer at 100%, raise the heart layer to 60%, copy merged,
paste in AS after current frame.
Keep the I layer at 100% heart layer, rasie to 80%, unhide the U layer,
drop the opacity on this layer to 20
copy merged and paste in AS after current frame
Keep I layer at 100%, raise the heart layer to 100% and raise the U layer
to 40%, copy merged and paste in AS after current frame
Raise the U layers opacity to 60, keeping the I and heart layers at 100,
copy merged and paste in AS after current frame
Raise the opacity to 80 on the U layer, I and heart at 100
copy merged and paste in AS after current frame
Now raise the opacity on U layer to 100, i and heart still at 100 and copy merged,
paste in AS after current frame.
You should now have 11 frames in AS
Select all frames and change the frame properties to 30
Check your animation and if happy, save as a gif. and show off your new tag!
